About

Sandy, The Glen Gardener

Hi, I’m Sandy Gillians. I’m a passionate gardener and lifelong naturalist, and I help home gardeners get started on the path to ecologically friendly gardens. I maintain public gardens at St. Alban’s Church and park in Glen Williams; I am co-chair of the Toronto Bruce Trail Club Conservation Team; a member of the Halton Peel Woodlands and Wildlife Stewardship Council; the North American Native Plant Society; the South Peel Naturalist Club; and the Glen Williams Community Association.

I have a special affection for bumble bees and have lectured on the need for providing backyard habitat for threatened species at Earth Day events, gardening groups, and at the Georgetown Eco-Film Festival.

I believe that gardens are important. With climate change and habitat loss threatening our world, we can all make a difference in our own little corner by providing a small refuge of biodiversity.

I would love to help you get started. Please give me a call for more information and to arrange a free 30 minute consultation.

I also also invite you to visit my blog at Pollenatrix.com to learn more about my interests and philosophy.
